General Contractors was awarded the BLJC “General Trades, Operations
and Maintenance” contract for the Nortel Networks Carling Campus
on May 1st, 2002. What began as a three year service contract now
continues into 2006. Services include drywall, raised floor systems,
cabinetry and finish carpentry, doors & windows, masonry, flooring,
painting, locksmith, and other general trades and services.
Our sister
company, Power-Tek Electrical Services Inc., has been providing
the daily electrical requirements for the Nortel Networks Carling
campus since 1996. The maintenance work has included everything
from basic electrical maintenance to complex projects including
the installation of DC power plants, lab builds and office renovations.
The Carling
Campus is a complex of 12 separate buildings with a total gross
floor area of 2.3 Million square feet. The occupancy is a combination
of office space, hardware labs, captive office, clean room lab,
amenity space and common spaces support facilities.
