Contractors was awarded the $145,000 M5.2 Integration Lab contract
in June of 2005. The original scope included the renovation of the
existing space to a clean room packaging centre. The scope of work
for the contract included the installation of two new dedicated humidifiers
for the clean room space, new power feeds to the work benches, new
plenum baffles, epoxy painting of the clean room walls, new roofing,
refrigerant piping, ductwork, sprinkler modifications, demolition
of existing partitions, as well as new doors and hardware. The original
contract was amended to include the second phase of the integration
process which included the fit-up of the assembly area of the clean
room space. This $160,000 addition to the contract included construction
activates similar to the first phase, but involved working within
the new, now operational clean room. Great care was taken not to affect
the clients daily operations. All work was completed without interruptions
to the clients daily activities. |
